New World Dev Update Video Drops Roadmap For Most Of 2023 Including MSQ Improvements, Transmog, And Cross World Outpost Rush
These things are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, though.
Time for some New World updates! In today's dev video the team kicks things off with details about the return of the Winter Convergence Festival. This time around, there's a new big baddie roaming the world in the Winter Warrior.
In addition to collecting presents and helping to stave of the "Forever Winter," players in the MMORPG may come across this large scale battle and they're going to want to bring about 15-20 friends with them if they want to have any hope of taking the Winter Warrior down.
Don't forget to take in the sights for the festival along the way, particularly in Brimstone Sands which is getting the holiday treatment for the first time since it just recently launched.
On the territory side of things, the devs dropped new info about how they plan to deal with "shell companies", or small, off-shoot companies other companies create to get around some of the rules when it comes to territory claiming. The team will be implementing new cooldown timers and mercenary limits. Ten is the magic number on defense and 25 is the limit for attackers (down from the PTR's initial 40 limit). Daily war will have caps now so you can only participate in one attack and one defend each day.
Make sure to check out the video below for additional territory changes.
Then there's a roadmap!
Each of the items depicted on the roadmap are expalined in detail in the video below, but just remember that release windows can certainly change.
