New World Dev Update Takes A Look Back At 2023 And A Brief Peek Into 2024
It’s been a pretty busy year.
The last New World Dev Update video is out and, as is generally the case with end-of-the-year content, this one takes a look back at what’s happened in the MMORPG over the last twelve months.
It covers the basics – the introduction of Seasons, the game’s first paid expansion, story content, and more. The game’s latest season just went live, after a bit of a delay, and players can hop into it now.
The dev update addresses some of the issues that the team has had over the last year, noting that they’ve done their best “to be as responsive and communicative as possible” when problems pop up. They also note that they know there’s more to do.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an end-of-the-year update without some stats celebrating things players have done in the game. Below you can find a small infographic, but the post lists quite a few more achievements. Things like the total seasonal challenges completed – 1,094,941, the deadliest expedition boss – Alluvium Marl, the most contested settlement – by invasions and wars, and more. The full list can be found on the dev update post on the game’s page, if you’re not the video type.
We also get a sneak peek at some of the team's plans for 2024!
