New World: Aeternum's Turkulon Is Coming Back, And The Drumstick Of Death Rewards Look Insane
Seeing the Drumstick of Death flail skin is actually hysterical.
This will be the first time console players can take part in the hunt for Turkulon now that New World: Aeternum has released on those platforms. Starting on Novemebr 20th and running through December 3rd, hunt down the largest fowl beast as the MMORPG celebrates Thanksgiving.
First up, you're going to want to take on regular turkeys to try and score yourself a a chance to skin them with your event-specific Turkulon's Claw Skinning Knife. Skinning these turkeys has a chance to drop a number of different loot pieces including my favorite, the Drumstick of Death flail skin. The skin has a 19% drop rate, so it shouldn't be TOO hard to snag. Sadly, like the Turkulon’s Juicy Calves Boots Skin drop, you can only get these items once throughout the event. Other items, like Infused Turkey Ward Potions, can be gained a few times per day with the daily clock resetting at 5:01 AM local time.
You can also gain rewards from taking on Turkulon itself in random parts of the world, but you'll need friends to help topple the level 66 boss. Weapon and boot skins are available here, too, but the flail skin itself has a lower drop rate in this battle coming in at a 9% chance. Turkulon is the only way to get the hammer skin, though.
Time to get out there and start the hunt next week. Hit up the full post for all the rewards and drop rates.
