New Weapons, New Endgame Content, And A Release On PS5 For Warhammer 40K Darktide
The PS5 version has a mode for you PS5 Pro users, too.
Fatshark's looter-shooter Warhammer 40K Darktide now makes the jump to the PlayStation brand of consoles today with the launch of its Grim Protocols update. This update is free to all players who already own the game (or are playing on Xbox's Game Pass).
We'll get to the update's new content in a moment, but first let's look at what PS5 players get here on launch day. First, you're getting all the content the game has pushed to date, including today's Grim Protocols update. Second, PS5 Pro players get a 60 frames per second (FPS) performance at 4K resolution, and regular PS5 owners have multiple performance options including a Performance mode (60FPS on a 1440p resolution) and Quality Mode (30FPS on a 4K resolution).
Obviously, Haptic feedback on your controller is utilized, too.
As for the new content, we've got three new weapon families to explore and wreak havoc with in the two-handed power sword, two-handed force sword, and heavy stubbers, for Zealots, Psykers, and Ogryn respectively. Endgame players get a new "Havoc" mode with new progression and reward systems.
Darktide is also celebrating its second anniversary with a new unique weapon trinket.
You'll want to review the patch notes as Grim Protocols also improves the Party Finder and makes other bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
