New Warframe — Dagath — Shown Off During Recent Devstream (Plus Other Upcoming Content)
She wields a sword/whip, conjures spectral sickles, emits cursed energy, and summons haunted horsies.
Digital Extremes spilled the deets about the upcoming Abyss of Dagath update for Warframe during a recent Devstream.
For starters, the team showed off Dagath — the 54th Warframe coming to the shooter, who wields a deadly sword/whip called Dorrclave. She’s able to conjure rotating spectral sickles, emit cursed energy from her faceless head, and summon phantasmal steeds known as the Rakhali's Cavalry. Additionally, the update introduces Grendel Prime, an upgraded version of the Grendel Warframe, equipped with additional equipment slots and a rare Prime tech weapon.
Abyss of Dagath also brings a highly-requested companion rework, where companions no longer die but rather get knocked out when their health reaches zero. This update is accompanied by new mods and a revamped healing system, significantly improving companion survivability by around 50%.
Furthermore, the Hydroid Warframe receives a long-awaited rework, featuring new passive abilities, status effect triggers, and an overhaul of his base kit, including a fresh ability called Plunder — which converts stolen enemy armor into corrosive damage for Hydroid's weapon. Additionally, two community events, Quest to Conquer Cancer and Nights of Naberus Halloween celebration, are underway, providing opportunities for players to engage in charitable initiatives and enjoy thematic in-game content.
“The Warframe community is so supportive of the causes we work with and the foundation has been no exception,” said Creative DirectorRebecca Ford. “As a creative team, we like finding ways to make a difference in the real world through what we do in-game.”
“Naberus is always a great time of year for Warframe,” she continued. “We have our holiday-themed 54th Warframe, more lore, tons of activities, and quality of life improvements - not to mention the launch of Grendel’s Prime - no tricks, only treats!”
