New Valorant Agent Looks Like An Angry Bot With Learned Powers
Riot Games has been hinting at a new agent coming soon to Valorant, and today we got our first peek at who that agent is and what he -- or maybe "it" -- can do.
Today's agent reveal video for KAY/O is something of a confusing jumble of images and words, but the general feeling is "training bot fights back." KAY/O's loadout seems to consist of a flash, damage ability, and throwing knife, while its ultimate "fist slam" move ... well, we're not quite sure what that does, but it's probably cool.
Also cool are the fragmented lore bits that are spliced throughout the video. KAY/O's loadout seems to resemble moves used by other agents, and given the video's early death/respawn/learn/death loop, it might be that the "practice bot" learned its moves by having agents practice on it. That's a tough way to gain experience, but you gotta do what you gotta do to survive.
Now get a move on agent -- the world doesn't have all day.
Meanwhile, if you're looking for more reasons to celebrate Valorant's one-year anniversary, you can tune into wwFEST: Unlocked YR1 next week, a cinematic digital music festival featuring DJ headliner Gryffin, along with Imanbek, Aluna, Justin Oh, Unknown Brain, and Boombox Cartel. That will take place on June 25 at 9 a.m. Pacific and can be viewed in the Crown Channel Twitch or YouTube.
