New Unreal Tournament Dev Video Shows Early Signs of Gameplay
Developer Epic Games has technically just released the first ever video featuring gameplay of their Unreal 4 powered reboot of the popular FPS Unreal Tournament, technically. The dev video comes a mere two weeks after the studio announced it had begun work on the title and it shows. Gameplay featured in the video was understandably "not Unreal" at this stage, with the game missing many of its core mechanics.
As explained in the video, the team was able to play their first deathmatch despite the game lacking a fully implemented movement system, art assets and functioning scoreboard. Epic has said it intends to openly collaborate with the community throughout the development process and this video shows the studio is serious about showcasing the title even at its earliest stages of design.
