New Sandbox Survival Game Enginefall Takes Place On A Giant Train
If you ever wanted to live the plot of Snowpiercer, it looks like this is your chance.
Have you thought to yourself recently, “Man, these sandbox survival crafting games are great, but what if they took place in an enclosed environment like a big-ass train?” Well, if you didn’t, someone did – specifically indie developer Red Rover Interactive, who recently announced their new game Enginefall.
Currently listed on Steam, the game takes place on massive trains in a post-apocalyptic world – think Snowpiercer. Players live on the trains, but they need to do more than just live there. As with most sandbox games, players start out as nothing and must work their way to the top. Start out in eternal servitude and work your way through the classes until you can take control of the train as the conductor. (Damn, it really is Snowpiercer.)
Of course, how you work the system is up to you. Making friends and building alliances are encouraged. Build bases. Lead uprisings. Do whatever it takes. You can even raid rival trains to steal resources.
There is currently no release date for Enginefall. That said, players can add it to their wishlist on Steam now and request access to the playtest.
