New PlanetSide 2 Update Brings Many Bug Fixes, 2x XP Weekend, And More Improvements Are On The Way
Players can also look forward to a double experience weekend.
St. Patrick's Day is being celebrated in the world of PlanetSide 2.
Today’s update brings a bunch of bug fixes, particularly focusing on animations and audio improvements. Additionally, previous St. Patrick's Day Bundles are set to return from March 17 to 26, offering items like the Gold Lover's Bundle and the Green Fortune Bundle. Players can look forward to a Double Experience For All Weekend from March 15 to 18, too.
The developers at Daybreak Games provided insights into ongoing progress of the MMOFPS, including the Sunderer rework and visual updates for certifications like Stealth Module and Enhanced Plating. The friend's list issue is also addressed, with a major rewrite underway to improve database efficiency and enhance functionality that promises a more stable and reliable experience.
Regarding Oshur, the team is looking into its design issues and potential solutions. While a complete rework is deemed necessary, there are resource constraints unfortunately. Oshur will be put on an infrequent rotation schedule, accompanied by a special alert system to control its active periods. This compromise aims to balance the preferences of players who wish to avoid Oshur while still providing opportunities for engagement.
There still has been no word from Daybreak on the rumored sale of PlanetSide 2 and when we reached out, we were again reminded that Daybreak doesn't comment on rumors.
