New Free-To-Play Third-Person Competitive Arena Combat Game Star Wars: Hunters Announced
May the Force be with you, but only if you have a Nintendo Switch.
Do we have a bad feeling about this, or a good one?
Star Wars: Hunters, a free-to-play third-person competitive arena combat game developed by NaturalMotion and BossAlien — as well as published by Zynga — is launching on June 4. The game invites players to the planet Vespaara, where high-stakes battles unfold in various Star Wars-inspired battlegrounds. Players assemble teams of customizable Hunters and engage in combat that emphasizes strategy in order to claim victory.
Vespaara, the central planet in Star Wars: Hunters, is otherworldly with its perpetual twilight that creates an aurora effect in the sky resembling a celestial phenomenon. The focal point of these battles is the Hutt Ship, a command vessel that hovers over the Arena — serving as the hub for players' activities. The developers have made battlegrounds like the Ewok Village, Mos Espa Podrace, Dune Sea Outpost, Death Star Crossfire, and Vandor Railyard.
The game offers modes like Squad Brawl, Dynamic Control, Power Control, and Trophy Chase. Players can choose from different classes such as Damage, Support, and Tank. Star Wars: Hunters will be available on the Nintendo Switch as well as iOS and Android.
