What if Warhammer was Twisted Metal?
Publisher PLAION and developer Caged Element — maker of GRIP: Combat Racing — have teamed up to create Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks. It’s a free-to-play car combat game that’s coming to PC, exclusively. And the alpha playtest is out now.
Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks immerses players in the 41st Millennium, where a group of speed-obsessed Orks has emerged from their relentless Waaaghs and formed the “SPEED FREEKS.” These guys love grease, metal, fire, and going fast. In the game, players will assemble their own wagons and strive for victory through strategy and brute force to destroy adversaries in order to win team races.
There’s class-based racing and shooter gameplay, where players will choose from various vehicle classes with unique abilities. Matches will accommodate up to 16 players and see them using weapons called "Dakka" during races. There’s also a combat racing conquest mode, where players must capture points and engage in battles to earn high scores. Also, the game was made in Unreal Engine 5.
