New Dead By Daylight Update Should Make “Gameplay Fairer For All Players”
The update features a new progression system, balance changes, and more.
Today, Behaviour Interactive dropped an all-new update for Dead by Daylight, overhauling the game using months of research in an attempt to make it “fair and balanced for all players, no matter their experience”. Effectively, this update is designed to get newer players running with those who have been there a while.
One of the things the new update does is enhances the player experience by focusing on three areas: reducing the time needed to progress, increasing Killer powers, and balancing Perks. This means a new progression system has been put in place. The new system reduces the time needed to progress by approximately 75%. Aside from speeding things up in general, this new system also allows players to experiment with other characters and builds.
The update also gives Killers a bit of a hand with slight balance improvements. They will now be able to break walls and pallets and damage generators 10% faster. In addition, cooldowns for successful Basic Attacks have been lowered by 10%.
As for perks, a total of 39 perks have received love. That’s both Survivor and Killer perks. Some of the most used perks have been reworked to make them...well...less appealing so that players might actually try other ones and make the game more interesting.
On an additional note, the game launched its very first anime crossover recently. Fans of Attack on Titan are going to love this as it features 10 outfits inspired by the popular anime.
