New Conquest Map, New Season, And New Gods, All As Smite's Season 8 Goes Live
As promised, Smite's Season 8 update has landed, bringing with it the Dawn of Babylon, including the addition of a new Conquest Map, the new Season Pass, a Valentine Chest, and more. The new map was previously outlined during the HRX event earlier this month, along with information on what players can expect from the new season. Of course, not everything rolled out immediately, the team has plenty of content outlined for the rest of the year, including six new gods, plenty of reworks, and new events and modes. The events include two, currently unrevealed, crossover events later in the year.
As for the new gods, Tiamat and Gilgamesh will be making their way into the game in updates 8.2 and 8.4 respectively. The rest of the gods will roll out on an "every-two updates" pace.
Of course, a new season also means a new season pass. The 2021 season pass is now available for $40 and includes 1000 gems and a new skin, loading screen, and title. It will also unlock new content when it becomes available in later updates.
