Neverwinter: Spelljammer Transports Players To Wildspace For A New Adventure Today
Are you ready for some intergalactic exploration?
The next Neverwinter module has finally been revealed.
Gearbox Publishing and Cryptic Studios have announced "Spelljammer," coming to the free-to-play Dungeons & Dragons MMORPG today. This update transports players to Wildspace for a brand-new story arc. Players can expect intergalactic exploration, a challenging new Trial, and numerous quality-of-life improvements.
In the Spelljammer module, players investigate falling stars across Toril at the request of Lord Neverember. However, the city of Neverwinter is struck by an astral seed during their preparations — leading to an assault by the Astral Elves of the Xaryxian Empire. A spelljammer ship called the Moondancer arrives to offer assistance against the deadly empire and departs to Wildspace. Players will journey to various planets, seek allies, and work to save Toril from the Xaryxian Empire's threat.
There’s also a new Adventure Zone which features Landing Sites with distinct stories, quests, and inhabitants inspired by the Spelljammer campaign. Players can engage in the Defense of the Moondancer Trial, facing off against the Xaryxian Empire with various difficulty tiers and rewards.
Additionally, quality-of-life improvements include updates to the Boon System, Trial Interface, Paladin class, and Barbarian Sentinel class.
