After Being Delayed Days Before Launch, NetEase Announces FragPunk Console Is Arriving This Month
The game is coming to both Xbox and PlayStation and will feature cross play and cross progression.
If you’ve been holding out on playing NetEase’s F2P 5v5 hero shooter FragPunk until it comes to consoles, you don’t have to wait much longer. Today, the developer announced that the game will be coming to both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on April 29. Not only that, but the console version of the game will launch with cross play and cross progression tying it in with the PC version – meaning you can play with more of your friends.
Those playing the game on consoles will have access to enhanced aim assist for console players using controllers, intended to make those players “equally competitive” to mouse and keyboard players. The announcement doesn’t mention the feature being available for controller users on PC.
To celebrate the console launch – and apologize for the delay - NetEase announced gifts for all newly registered console accounts. These will include exclusive limited-time rewards starting at the beginning of Season 1 and running through April 29.
