"Naval Warfare" Update Revealed For War Game Foxhole, Featuring Sea-Based Combat
The update introduces a high level of realism, with battles taking place above and below deck.
It’s time to take this war into the ocean.
Siege Camp has announced a major update for Foxhole: "Naval Warfare,” set to launch on October 26. This update will expand the war game's focus from land-based combat to sea-based battles. Players will have the opportunity to engage in naval warfare aboard Gunboats, Destroyers, and Battleships, with crews of dozens working together both above and below deck. The update introduces a high level of realism too, as individual ship sections can be targeted and destroyed — causing compartments to flood, and players must bail out seawater and make repairs to stay afloat.
Naval Warfare also adds submarines, capable of ambushing convoys and disrupting naval invasions. Players will be able to conduct amphibious beach landings using new landing craft, storm beaches, and construct portable harbors to support troops in their battles against enemy bunkers and emplacements.
The persistent world of Foxhole expands as well, with new water-based regions containing strategic islands and offshore oil platforms. Additionally, logistics forces have been enhanced with new sea-based vessels, and towable field weapons have been introduced for increased battlefield mobility.
