Naraka: Bladepoint Has Sold 6 Million Copies, So They’re Celebrating With A Sale And New Hero
It's also been nominated for "Best Multiplayer Game" at the Golden Joystick Awards.
Well, things are going pretty well for 24 Entertainment’s 60-player PvP game Naraka: Bladepoint. Today, the company announced that not only had it hit the six million copies sold mark, but that the game was also nominated for the “Best Multiplayer Game” category for The Golden Joystick awards. What do you do when you’ve sold a ton of games? You put the game on sale and possibly sell more, and that’s what they’re doing this week with a 30% discount that will last until November 17.
In addition to the sale, the developer also released a new hero based on Chinese history during the warring states period – Yueshan. This hero is dressed in lamellar armor and ready for battle. He features an ultimate ability that turns him into a Terracota warrior armed with a halbert, making him a real threat to opponents.
In a really interesting bit of news, 24 Entertainment also announced that they’re working with the Art Museum of Chinese Ancient Weapons to restore a dagger known as the Equestrian Blade. This weapon is a major exhibit of the Pingyao Wentaofang Ancient Weapon Museum and features a horse head handle associated with the Western Zhou Dynasty. Of course, 24 Entertainment isn’t just telling players about this because it’s a neat thing. It turns out they also have plans to add the dagger to Naraka: Bladepoint and gift it to players to thank them for their support.
