Modern Warfare 2’s Open Beta Arrives In September
Players can gain access by pre-ordering or pre-purchasing the game.
While rumors have been circulating that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s Beta would arrive in August, Activision has instead assigned the two-week Beta for mid-to-late September. The beta will first debut on PS4 and PS5, then to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Battle.net PC, and Steam PC the following week. Below are the Beta dates listed for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II:
PlayStation Exclusive
Early Access: September 15 - 16
Open Beta: September 17 - 19
Cross-Play Beta
Early Access: September 22 - 23
Open Beta: September 24 - 26
While the beta is not in August like originally anticipated, players can still hope to uncover more information on events, game modes, and more in the upcoming month before the beta. Players who are already interested can pre-order or pre-purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Battle.net PC or Steam PC and receive early access to the Open Beta.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
