Modern Warfare 2’s DMZ Mode Rumored To Incorporate New Marketplace To Trade Skins And More.
Now players can trade unwanted customizable items.
A new tweet made by popular Call of Duty Leaker, Ghost of Hope, spoke about the possibility of introducing a new feature in Modern Warfare 2 where players would be able to trade cosmetics, blueprints, and more. The idea did sound a bit like an intro to another NFT drop, however, Activison had already stated that they would not be doing NFT’s (at least not yet).
These items will be earned through MW2’s new mode, DMZ. These cosmetics can then be traded and used across Multiplayer and eventually Warzone 2. This marketplace would allow players to trade unwanted weapon skins or even claim skins that players may have desperately wanted. Still, with not much information released, it is not 100% known just what the limitations of this marketplace will be. For example, we still do not know if all skins earned outside of DMZ can be traded, or will a new currency system be introduced along side this new marketplace? Hopefully, more official information will be released soon.
