Are you a writer looking to test your chops in video game journalism? Do you have lots of opinions on games and the video game industry you’d like to share, whether it be in an article or on camera? Then you’re going to want to check this out. Because MMOBomb is looking for a new staff writer. And we’d like you to join us.
This is a paid, entry-level, part-time freelance job that can be done remotely. Applicants need to be able to write Monday – Friday. Content will include three or four regular news pieces a day, occasional editorial articles, and some event coverage that may occasionally require you to write on weekends.
In addition to writing, applicants need to have a basic grasp of image editing software and the ability to choose and size or crop images to fit site guidelines. General requirements for the position include experience writing about video games in general and multiplayer games, the ability to properly source your material, strong proficiency in the English language, and a flexible schedule. Preferred applicants will also be able to appear on the weekly "Always Online" podcast and potentially do an occasional "First Look" video.
