Mister Fantastic And The Invisible Woman Have Arrived In Marvel Rivals Season 1, Mods Pushed Out
A new arcade mode has been added as well.
Today, Season 0 comes to a close in Marvel Rivals and Season 1 takes its place. The new season comes with fresh content ranging from two new Heroes: Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, to a new Arcade Mode: Doom Match and its related map.
The new mode has eight to twelve players fighting to remain on top, with the top half being the victors. It takes place in the Sanctum Sanctorum Map – one of two new maps added in this update. The other is the new Convoy map titled Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.
Of course, a new season means a new battle pass. Players can expect to earn ten new costumes from this battle pass. Other content included in the update is the new Midnight Features Season event and a new feature in Convoy and Convergence that allows both sides to transition to the next spawn room after the attacking side completes its target. More information on the update can be found on the team shooter’s website in both the patch notes and the balance post.
While the new season adds new content, the update also quietly removed the ability for existing mods to function. No more special skins until mod designers find a workaround...which we're sure they will at some point. Netease told IGN, "It is not recommended to modify any game files, as doing so carries the risk of getting banned."
On an additional note, the Marvel Rivals team shared a nice message with players on X. It can be read below.
