Mechwarrior Online Player-Run Championship Series Kicks Off
The player-run Mechwarrior Online Comp Championship Series is kicking off the early stages of its annual tournament. A portion of the series -- the in-game competitive queue -- is already underway, having started on August 20th. Between now and October 22, players will be able to take part in these every Thursday and Saturday.
On August 31, things really get rolling with the beginning of the Invitational Tournaments. These will last until September 7. Then, in October, fans can look forward to the semi-finals, which will last into late November. After that, it's just a matter of the finals, which take place on December 7 and 14.
The series offers prizes for almost all levels of competition -- rewarding 1st through 8th place individually while offering something to the top 500 players in the series as well.
Those wanting to participate in the series -- or just watch it -- can find all the necessary information on how to do so on the Mechwarrior Online site.
