Mecha BREAK Had Such A Good Summer They're Throwing A Surprise Open Beta In August
You can sign up for the surprise test starting today.
Besides some closed testing, Mecha BREAK pushed through the summer with showings at both Summer Game Fest and the Xbox Showcase. Things went pretty well for the multiplayer mech shooter so they've decided, "Why not?" and scheduled an open beta weekend in August. Starting today you can register on the game's Steam page or official site to get access to the beta running from August 10th through the 13th.
If you were in previous testing (or you get one of the team's special keys for being a "hardcore community member or influencer") you can actually hop into the test a bit early from August 2nd through the 8th in a "Limited" beta test ahead of the open beta weekend.
While the test will primarily be looking at server stability and performance with a high number of players, the first time Mecha BREAK has done such tech testing, the event will also feature improvements made to time-to-kill and match pacing in the 6v6 hero shooter. A new mech named Stego will also be added in this testing round.
Testing will be available for players in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific regions.
Customize your mech (some of which have been designed by artists who worked on Metal Gear and Gundam, among other IPs) and your pilot, then squad up in groups of either 3 or 6 to take on 3v3 Arena, 6v6 Battlefield, or up to 60-player PvEvP modes.
