Mecha ARPG Phantom Galaxies Enters Early Access To Low Reviews...Mainly Due To NFTs
Customize mechs and defend humanity.
Today, Blowfish’s mecha action RPG Phantom Galaxies entered Early Access on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Fans of the mech genre can now hop into the game for free and work together (or alone) to defend humanity and important strategic locations.
Take on the role of an elite mecha pilot in the Ranger Squadron, a special unit founded by both the Commonwealth and the Union to protect human colonies throughout known space from the fallout of an interstellar war. Pilot one of many unique Starfighters and battle against aliens and space pirates.
Players are able to build mechs around their own playstyle, choosing to specialize in close, medium, or long-range combat. These mechs are capable of battle both in space and on the ground.
Currently the game isn't receiving a warm reception review-wise. While reviews do point towards performance and gameplay, many of the reviews are focused on NFTs being in the game and a "P2W" vibe. It's worth remembering though that if you play via Steam you cannot interact with the NFT economy at all.
