Mech Shooter "Galahad 3093" Goes Into Early Access On Steam Today, On Sale Until Next Week
Build customized mechs and jump into heated 12v12 arena fights.
St. Louis-based developer Simutronics has announced mech hero shooter Galahad 3093 is now in early access and available to purchase on Steam. To celebrate the launch, it's currently 15% off for $21.24 but will return to $24.99 after September 8.
According to the devs, Galahad 3093 was in a late beta stage in late 2020 and received many updates to fine-tune the title, which now they feel ready to launch worldwide in early access. In the game, "Knights" are operators inspired by Arthurian legend who fight for glory in 12v12 battle arenas with their mechs, otherwise known as Lances. Combat is a "never-ending battle to capture and hold territory" across seven vertical sci-fi arenas that can have game-changing events such as an out-of-nowhere comet striking the field or a giant desert sandworm looking for its next lunch.
Players interested in mech customization will be pleased to know the devs claim over "hundreds of possible builds and abilities" will be available in early access. Between 23 weapon systems, 148 variants, and over 500 modules, players could make lightning-fast scout Lances to navigate the terrain or heavy-duty juggernauts packing rockets and grenades. The fruits of your labor putting together the ideal Lance will be powered by the unique skills of your chosen Knight, such as Arthur's orbital strikes with the aid of X-caliber and Gwen's Royal Dome protecting allies from damage.
Additionally, players can compete in all-out Team Deathmatch or rule the battlefield and defend territory in the Base Assault game mode. There's plenty of viability, flexible progression, and features Galahad 3093 introduces, which plans to only get better in the future. The devs are excited to have players help shape early access development and will implement "clans and private matches" as time goes on.
