McLaren F1 Races Into World of Speed
A crafty bunch, those guys at Slightly Mad Studios are, splitting up their car reveals for World of Speed into a bunch of short videos, and thinking that us gaming press guys will create a news article for each of them. We would never fall for such a cheap gambit... for such a ridiculous ploy... for such a simplistic scheme... for... ooh, shiny.
Powered by a 6.1L S70/2 V12 engine -- which I'm sure means something to car enthusiasts -- the iconic McLaren F1 goes from 0 to 100 kph in 3.4 seconds, and races around the track at a top speed of 386 kph, or about 240 miles per hour. (We suggest you slow down for the turns.)
Also, it's shiny. So shiny...
Ahem. If you want to learn more about the game or sign up for beta, head on over to the World of Speed website. Just try not to drool on the merchandise.
