It's time and Noobfridge couldn't be happier. 6v6 hero-shooter Marvel Rivals is now live on PC and consoles so you can jump in, play any hero on the roster, play any map, and play any mode without paying a dime. The F2P game opted to keep cash shop purchases confirmed to cosmetics, as I reviewed yesterday in a piece looking at monetization.

Remember, the season passes are always available to finish if you bought them...even after a season ends. That's great, but a concern I had with odd amount bundles of cash shop currency when compared to the cost of bundles of cosmetics did prove to be true, sadly. Hey, I guess you can't win them all.

While Marvel Rivals is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S complete with cross play for casual matches, the Steam version of the game specifically has already seen over 300K players online, so don't be surprised if you start to see some server issues as things get settled. (Seriously, the numbers are jumping fast. Don't believe me? Look at the URL for this piece, it was originally 200K when I started typing, minutes later it was 300K! I left the 200 there to prove it!)

As a way of thanking players for the support, NetEase is offering a code that allows you to claim a free Iron Man Armor Model 42 skin.

Enjoy the skin by claiming code nwarh4k3xqy in game and let us know what your early impressions of Marvel Rivals are in the comments.
