MapleStory Gets Cuter, Teams Up With Line Friends
If you live in North America or Europe and have never heard of Line Friends, that's OK. Everything I know about them come from their Wikipedia page, which describes them as "characters based on the stickers from messaging app Line," which is owned by a South Korean internet company.
That's a little dry, so I'll just call them "cute animal critters." And what free-to-play MMORPG could use more cute animal critters? Why, MapleStory, of course!
From April 24 to May 21, MapleStory players with level 61 and higher characters can interact with Line Friends characters Brown, Cony, and Leonard to obtain coins that can be redeemed for various in-game prizes. More Line Friends-themed loot, such as chat rings, mounts, pets, and outfits, will be offered in the MapleStory cash shop.
