MapleStory 2 Launch Date Set For October 10, But You'll Get The Battle Royale Mode First

Okay, MapleStory 2 fans, the wait is just about over. Nexon announced yesterday that the super cute game will officially launch on October 10. To get things rolling, players are able to start creating characters and reserving names and continue to do so until the game's launch. During this period -- known as the "pre-season" -- players can get a little action in by playing the game's standalone battle royale mode "Mushking Royale". Information Mushking Royale -- as well as instructions on how to create a character that will carry over into MapleStory's official release -- is now available on the MapleStory site.
If you'd like to get into the main game before its launch date on October 10, you'll need to have purchased a founder's pack -- which are conveniently still available. The purchase will get you a ten day head start.
When the game launches, players who spent time in testing might notice a few new additions, even in Mushking Royale. The main game will include an increased level cap, an additional class, new dungeons, and more. The battle royale mode will now include the option to play in squads of four. Basically, there's a lot for fans of the game to look forward to.
