Make Waves On PlanetSide 2’s New Continent, Now On PS4
Get your tires wet as you do battle in a new underwater realm.
PlanetSide 2’s Expedition Oshur is now live on PS4, two months after its launch on PC. Players can look forward to a brand new massive-scale continent to explore along with new underwater gameplay. The island's lush flora, sandy beaches, and open sea will bring new opportunities for strategic gameplay and stealthy infiltrations. Players can also look forward to new facilities, new directives, and a brand-new campaign that will allow players to familiarize themselves with the new underwater game mechanics.
All previous vehicles and infantry weapons have been updated for additional underwater use and there are four new underwater weapons, three of which will be unlocked by completing the new campaign and Oshur directives. With all vehicles updated for water use, there’s a new tactical layer as skilled pilots can now dive below the water line to avoid enemy fire.
Expedition Oshur has two new facilities to introduce that will benefit all players. Interlink Outposts will increase your Empire Strength, while Trident Relays can be used to cut off enemy lattice advancement.
If you would like to learn more about PlanetSide 2’s new continent, you can check out our interview with the lead designer, Michael “Wrel” Henderson, that provides great insight into the design and mechanics of Expedition Oshur.
