Mad World's World Map Trailer Emphasizes Its Dark Atmosphere Across New Areas In Upcoming Beta
With a map name like "The Dumpsite Outskirts," it's bound to be nasty and bloody.
The closed beta test for dark fantasy MMORPG Mad World begins on September 15, but sign-ups are still open for anyone interested in giving the title a shot. If you need an idea of its overall atmosphere, watch the World Map trailer (below) from developer Jandisoft. It emphasizes Mad World's darkly lit and grotesque new areas in the beta test.
"The Dumpsite Outskirts" begins the video and is confirmed by the devs as the game's prologue zone. Subsequent zones such as "Relic Craftshop" and "Tail End" are displayed and connected to Mad World's central city: "Orbit of Silence." The devs claim the hub will be "packed with NPCs and quests to make the game scenario more profound." As one of the last lines of defense to shield humans from a potential demon invasion, it fittingly serves a functional and narrative purpose for Mad World.
Also, the closed beta test will introduce UI, UX, and game convenience changes. As mentioned, closed beta sign-ups are still going, and prospective players can apply on Mad World's official homepage. Although, players will have to win a lucky draw to get a test key.
