Mad World Releases New Guides For Pets, Equipment, Skill Trees, Cash Shop, & More
There's lots of new info out for Mad World.
As Mad World nears its April 27th official launch date, the folks over at Jandisoft have released a series of guides detailing many of the features the MMORPG has to offer.
Beginning with the Cash Shop, MCash can be obtained through in-game purchases. You can use your MCash in Mad World to buy the Mad Pass (you guessed it, a battle pass), Crystals which in turn can be used to buy convenience items such as XP boosts, and Phantom Spheres which in turn can be used to buy special cosmetics or pet eggs.
Pet eggs can be purchased from the cash shop using Phantom Spheres for rarer pets, or can be purchased from the stable keeper for more common pets. Either way, the egg must then be incubated to see what kind of pet you end up with.
Equipment in Mad World drops in common, uncommon, rare, unique, or legendary classes. The minimum level stats of an item will depend on the equipment class, as will the number of sockets to place modifiers. Using the in-game crafting system, you can turn legendary class gear into hero or treasure-class crafted items using special materials. You can dismantle equipment you no longer need into materials to use for crafting. You will also be able to enchant gear as well as roll new properties on gear.
All-in-all it sounds like the gearing systems will be robust with plenty of options to upgrade and customize your gear until your heart is content. As far as the cash shop goes, it sounds like convenience items only, although there are some good ol' inventory slots in there. Ugh. Typical game creating a problem and selling you the solution. Other than that though it doesn't sound too bad on the cash shop front, but of course, we'll have to wait and see what the actual launch of the game brings before we pass judgment.
