Time for a little Lunar New Year celebration on the high seas. World of Warships: Legends is unleashing the legendary Monkey King, Sun Wukong, as a reimagined Commander guise and setting sail in his Pan-Asian Tier VII Premium cruiser, Wukong. Other characters from the classic novel Journey to the West get their own skins, too. Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, and Tang Sanzang all get their own unique looks.

If you've played the strategy game's previous Lunar New Year events but missed out on some of the rewards, you may be happy to know that both themed content and rewards from those past events is being brought back this year. New content and old content merges into one event as both past and current rewards will be available in the Lunar New Year '25 crates. These crates also have a chance to drop a new Japanese Tier VI Premium cruiser Tokachi.

Also starting today, you can start earning progress towards unlocking the new legendary tier light cruiser Jinan. The event closes with a new historical event based on three famous battles of 1942: the Battle of the Java Sea, the Battle of Sunda Strait, and the Second Battle of the Java Sea. Obviously, this event comes with new shop offerings, too.

The full update notes also show the return of the Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- event so you can grab some rewards (or sales, of course) that you missed last time, and the addition of a new "Codex" feature aimed at giving details and advise to new players.
