Time for your next "feeling old" moment. The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) is celebrating 18 years and is now old enough to vote in the United States. The F2P MMORPG isn't just content to celebrate with a quick event and some rewards, though. Instead, the MMO dropped a full update to go along with things.

On the birthday side of things, you'll probably want to head over to The Party Tree in the Festival Grounds to get started. A number of quests await you here. Some of these quests depend on completing previous quests (or completing daily quests multiple times) to net you the full list of rewards. There's a full event post up on the site giving you the detailed directions if you've never done this before.

Not only will you be gaining the normal experience and other basic rewards for completing these quests, but you'll also be earning Anniversary Tokens that can be used to purchase a plethora of anniversary rewards. Multiple vendors will offer mounts, ceremonial weapons, furnishings, and, of course, fireworks.

The celebration starts tomorrow, April 24th, and runs through May 12th. Plan accordingly so you don't come up short on some of those chained quests.

If you're looking for something to do today, Update 44: Crown of Hamât is now live and that means a new quest pack drops 50 new quests, 10 new missions, and a 6-player instance that arrives on May 7th. The pack is free for VIP members and the content is geared for players at level 150. The Ikorbân Valley is under threat from a new evil. Learn the story of Mizâdi, Shâra of Hamât Renewed, as she fights for her people and attempts to bring peace to Shagâna.

Lalia's Market has been revamped and should be easier to navigate. New vendors are waiting to sell you new housing items and replicas of Legendary Weapons that you can't get anymore. For you housing fans, Homesteading Coins has been released and will eventually replace Premium Housing Writs as an easier way to purchase premium homes, get refunds, and buy bundles from the store.

Make sure to review the full patch notes since Update 44 also includes updates, balance changes, and updates to past content, too.
