LotRO’s Annual Tale Of The Shipwrecked Mariners Event Expanded On With Another Seaworthy Adventure
Hear an old Mariner’s story before his time is up.
Once again, the annual Tale of the Shipwrecked Mariners event has returned to The Lord of the Rings Online, offering players of the MMORPG a chance to earn Mariner-themed goodies – all for helping Captain Aranhir of Evendim recover his Cram and Ale. That’s not all players will be doing this year. As it turns out, a second Mariner-themed event is also taking place – one that will reward players with a Mariner-themed cosmetic set upon completion.
We’re sure most long-time LotRO players are familiar with the Shipwrecked Mariners event. That said, for those who aren’t, the event takes place every September, during which time players will help the captain of the Gilminuial locate his lost cargo, consisting of Cram and Ale. Once enough of the cargo has been located, players take it back to the ship’s first mate. During the event, players will also find Waterlogged Crates, which are filled with a variety of goodies, including cosmetic items and crafting ingredients.
As for the new event, Stowaway: The Old Man on the Shore, players will meet an old Mariner by the name of Falnavar in Evedim. As the end of life draws closer for the old man, he has a story to tell. Players will be able to live his story through a series of eleven missions. Completing the series will earn players the Mariner-themed cosmetic set as well as Legendary Item XP.
Both events are available now and will last until September 23rd. To find out where to unlock the quests, hit up the LotRO site.
