Lost Ark Pre-Download Available To Everyone Today And There's A "Director's Cut" Trailer
Yes, even those of you who didn't purchase a Founder's Pack.
Lost Ark will officially launch in just a few days on February 11. Of course, for those of you with Founder's Packs, you'll be able to jump in sooner than that with the 3-day Head Start. That means you'll be logging in tomorrow. If you'd rather not have any of your opening day in-game taken up by the obligatory download time, then you'll want to pay attention to this next part, because pre-download is available now. The good news is that it's available to everyone, Founder's Pack purchase or not.
That doesn't mean anyone will be able to create characters today. You're still going to have to spend your time tomorrow (or on the 11th, depending on if you put money down for the packs or not) getting that done. There won’t be any name reservations at this time either as that requires completing character customization.
Of course, you can download the pre-load via Steam. However, I did notice when going to do it myself that searching for it on the Steam App was a bit of a bust and I ended up having to go through the Lost Ark website to the game’s page on the Steam site and click the pre-load game button there. (Magicman didn't have this issue, though.) That then forced the Steam app to install it. This might not be a problem for everyone, but I thought having the workaround might be helpful.
Make sure to give those launch patch notes a gander, too!
