Lost Ark Players Can Look Forward To Better Paced Content, And Some Region (And Server) Mergers Are On The Way
The devs want to avoid content fatigue while getting caught up to the Korean version.
As Lost Ark nears its second anniversary in the West, Smilegate is looking at what’s to come in 2024. In a post on the game’s site, the devs outline plans to adjust content rollout so that it’s not so aggressive and less likely to wear players out trying to keep up.
Over the past year, the idea has been to get the Western version of the MMORPG caught up with the Korean version. It seems that as they close that gap, they’ll now be slowing things down a bit – to avoid burning players out.
That said, players can still look forward to Breaker in March and Thaemine in April. The team is also working with Amazon to determine the best time to drop the latest Echidna raid and Kurzan continent already available in Korea. New fixes and updates to existing content are also planned.
To help players prepare for what’s to come, the Road to Thaemine event will be moved up to March. This event is for players who have reached 1580 to reach 1600s using Super Mokoko Express and get them ready for the Thaemine raid. It will be very helpful for those giving the new Breaker Class a try.
The roadmap also promises the return of existing events as well as new ones. The Arkesia Grand Prix will return and new events will be made available to help with player progression. Details on all of that will roll out over time.
On another note, merges are on the way. We’re not just talking server merges – although there will be two rounds of those on March 6 and 13. There will also be region merges. This summer, NA West, NA East, and SA will become one big region. As with the events, there will be more details on this at a later time.
