Lost Ark's New Roadmap May Be Smaller Than Previous Maps, But The Focus Is On Releasing Korean Content Faster
Speeding up bringing eastern content to the west means the roadmap is a bit harder to plan out as far.
Last week, while reviewing the March update for Lost Ark with you, I advised that the F2P MMORPG's roadmap was being slightly delayed. Past roadmaps for the game have been snapshots looking at the next four months. Sure, that 4th month was pretty sparse on details, but it was there. As the MMO matures a bit and starts pushing to release content from Korea at a faster pace, the roadmap needs to trim down a bit. This latest map only looks at May, June, and July.
In the video recap below, the team does mention a new "credit score" system being added for players based on their crystal purchases. Due to fraud, there's a three-day waiting period on crystal purchases. If you want to buy crytals to trade for gold, you end up having to wait a bit. This new system basically tracks your past purchases, checks for any prior fraud issues, and allows you to use some of your gold earlier based on being a "not fraudulent" player. It really isn't mentioned in the full post, so I wanted to call that out here.
Hitting up the May content, expect the Thaemine Epilogue quest if you cleared Thaemine Hard, a new Trial Guardian version of Hanumatan, and the Chaos Assault coming with the Kurzan Prelude Event. Hanumatan has new mechanics, requires a much higher item level, and the rewards are increased. Clearing the trial on hard will net you the gold that would have come with a normal mode clear, too. May will also add a new adventure island called "Cruel Toy Castle Island," Stronghold updates including new structures, and the Music Box of Memories II content. We'll even see western-exclusive cosmetics.
Moving into June we'll see the second part of the above mentioned Chaos Assault, the South Kurzan continent, Kazeros Raid: Echidna (yes, it's Echidna again), and an "Advanced Honing" system that allows players to upgrade the item level of their gear using materials gathered in the Echidna raid.
Taking the place of the previous roadmaps' 4th month is the third month of July. Yeah, details are lacking here. Really all that's here is the Maharaka Paradise Event Island for the returning Maharaka Festival. The team may add more to this month's update down the road.
Hey, at least the next two months seem a bit stacked for Lost Ark players. It's certainly welcome after a pretty small March update-wise.

Not really sure why you said this road map is somehow about releasing content faster. I looked over it all again, and I'm not seeing them mention it anywhere. Maybe the reason it is just three months ahead, rather than four, is as we are closer to Korea, they just don't know what is coming past that content. Like act three of the Kazeros raid, which is coming here in June, that apparently only got added a couple months ago in Korea.
