Lost Ark's March Update Has Arrived, Bringing New Story Content, The Argos Raid, And You Can Race!
Race each other and get cake at the end? That's a win/win, right?
Today, Amazon and Smilegate dropped the March update for Lost Ark adding the previously announced Argos abyss raid and Kadan's story episode, which includes Isteri and the Illusion Bamboo islands. That means players have new quests to take on and new places to explore. Those with a taste for end game content have a new Guardian to beat up on – provided they have an item level of at least 1370 for the first phase and the quest "Abyss Raid Unlocked!" completed.
In addition to these two items, the update also adds some other interesting content. The first is the Arkesia Grand Prix. As you might guess from the name, this is a racing event. It's intended to be somewhat lighter content than the Abyssal Raids and Competitive Proving Grounds and will be available for the next month. This mode pits two teams of seven against each other in a race around a track, but with a catch – or a few. First, the players are transformed. Second, they must do what they can to stop the other team from progressing. Progress is achieved by reaching the goal and eating cake. (Honestly, that already seems like a bit of a win.)
The other big addition in this update is the groundwork for Season 1 of the Competitive Proving Grounds. This means that later this month, players will be able to compete for victory and rewards. For now, what everyone will want to do is get some practice in. Full details on this and the rest of the content can be found in the patch notes on the Lost Ark forums.
