Lost Ark Destined For Destruction

Today, Amazon Games and Smilegate debuted a new trailer that featured Lost Ark's Destined for Destruction update, slated for a May 19 release. Coming in two days, players can play as the all-new Destroyer Advanced Class, challenge the first-ever Legion Raid, and more is on the horizon.

The hammer-wielding Destroyer will join the Berserker, Paladin, and Gunlancer as the "fourth Warrior Advanced Class," boasting massive stagger damage. It's a specialist best used to charge into the fray and cause havoc, slowly yet catastrophically launching, pushing, pulling, and crushing enemies on sight. They'll be a welcome addition to any party needing a beefy fighter on the frontlines, which players could need in the new raid.

The first-ever Legion Raid in the western version of Lost Ark will be a demanding team-based encounter that requires finesse, skill, and coordination from all those in the party. Within the zone, players will need to strategize how to "counter each Legion Commander's unique characteristics, abilities, and mechanics." And since Legion Raids are tough eight-player battles, there will be checkpoints throughout to save player progression. You'll need item level 1415 to attempt normal difficulty and 1445 for the hard version. The Valtan Legion Raid also introduces a new rarity called "Relic," which can be "crafted from materials earned in the raid," providing armor and weapon bonuses.

Following that content, the Deskaluda Guardian Raid will be available on May 19 for players who have item level 1415. You'll go toe-to-toe with Deskaluda alone, with a pre-made party, or with an automatic makeup of up to three other players. The rewards for beating the fight are similar to the Valtan Legion Raid, including Relic quality accessories.

Will you be checking out the content on May 19 for Lost Ark? Let's talk about it in the comments! You can read the patch notes on Lost Ark's website.
