Lost Ark Competitive Proving Grounds Season 1 Begins Tomorrow
The first season arrives as part of the weekly update.
Amazon Games will launch Lost Ark’s first competitive season of Proving Grounds content, titled Heroes of Arkesia, tomorrow, March 24, as part of the game's weekly update. With the release of this new content, players will be able to queue for a 'Team Deathmatch' mode and fight for glory and goodies.
As with most competitive content in video games, players' progress in matches will be tracked, applying both their wins and their losses to determine a 'Competitive Match Average Score'. This score will determine the player's rank at the end of the season, as well as the rewards they will receive.
The season will last around six months, offering plenty of time for players to work on their scores and earn rewards. The precise ending date hasn’t been announced yet, so players will need to keep an eye out for that. That said, players won't just receive rewards based on their final rank. During the season, players will also earn coins for participating in the Proving grounds. These can be spent at new vendor locations in several cities and will include a mix of weekly and season-specific rewards.
In addition, new Competitive ranks are up for grabs. These range from Grand Master, which includes the top 30 players in a region to Bronze – anyone with a score of 1399 or below at the end of the season. A full list of the available ranks, as well as other details on the season, can be found on the Lost Ark site.
