Lost Ark’s April And May Content Roadmap Features New Classes, A New Continent, And Much More
New challenges await our Heroes of Arkesia.
With Lost Ark still relatively new to western audiences, Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG have been working hard to provide a steady flow of new content and updates. In the April and May roadmap of Lost Ark, a lot was reiterated from their that detailed how they intend to approach the continued content after the March update. One major point was the belief that as of now, the stress should be focused on content and a clear path for progression. This will allow players to spend their time reaching the end-game before introducing major updates like Legion Raids (the definitive Lost Ark raiding experience.)
So, without further ado, let’s get into April. Our Heroes of Arkesia now have access to a brand new continent, South Vern. Here, players can meet new characters, partake in new quests, and uncover a trove of new mysteries. South Vern will be the second Tier 3 continent, therefore requiring an item level of 1340 to begin.
Next is the announcement of a new Martial Artist Advanced Class, Glaivier. Players will wield a spear and glaive as they swap between two different skill sets–Focus and Flurry–and build their characters in a way to focus on one of the two skill sets, or, create balance between the two stances and maximize their potential.
April will also bring quality of life improvements like improved co-op party play for Secret Maps, chat tab settings being shared across a player’s Roster, and improved Book of Coordination settings.
In May, The Destroyer will be joining the Berserker, Paladin, and Gunlancer as the fourth Warrior Advanced Class. This new hammer-wielding Destroyer will be able to bend gravity to their will and manipulate their enemies by launching, slowing, and even pushing and pulling them in any way to eliminate their foes. Following the new class addition, the Trial Guardian Raids will add a new weekly activity for players that may be looking for a challenge. Different from a normal Guardian Raid, Trial Guardian Raids will apply ‘Scale of Harmony’ so that your characters’ item level is adjusted appropriately to that of the enemy. While our Heroes cannot use the Battle Workshop in the raid region, increased challenges do come with increased rewards. Players can also look forward to a few fun features like new hairstyles for customization!
Lastly in May, there is a possibility of a new Guardian Raid–Deskaluda–as well as the first Legion Raid, Valtan. However, due to a large amount of data suggesting that a big portion of Lost Ark’s active players will reach, or be close to reaching, the item levels needed to participate in higher level end-game content by May, these are tentative updates that could change.
