Europe West, Meet Europe Central: Lost Ark Announces Region Merge
Other regions asking for merges will still have to wait.
This summer, Lost Ark Players in the European West and Central regions are going to have more people to play with. Smilegate announced plans to merge the two regions today in a post on the game’s Steam page, stating that players have been asking for this move. In response to player request, the developer is working with publisher Amazon Games to make it happen.
If you’re in a region that’s been asking for a merger in the MMORPG but the region is not one of these two, as apparently South American players have benn asking too, the developer isn’t ready to do that yet. According to the post, merging South American servers with North American servers might “create a sub-optimal player experience due to increased latency”. For now, they’re just keeping an eye on things.
