The Arcanist Is Coming So Lost Ark Thought You Might Want To Study Up On The Class
Ready your cards.
The wait for Lost Ark’s Arcanist class is almost over, so – of course – the dev team put together a new Academy post explaining how it all works. As mentioned before the Arcanist uses special cards filled with their own magic to achieve a variety of results. These results can be both offensive or defensive, with attacks that damage enemies or abilities that support the team.
The Arcanist’s spells come in three flavors: Normal, Stacking, and Ruin. Normal deals damage while filling the Specialty meter. Stacking and Ruin work together to build bigger attacks. Sometimes, this will all come down to luck when the specialty skill “Card Deck” is in use. Every time the player lands an attack, the Card Meter is filled, when it’s charged fully, a card will be drawn randomly and used to attack. There are thirteen different cards in the Arcanist’s deck, all of which are detailed in full in the Academy post. A more detailed rundown of skills can be found there as well.
