The Lord of The Rings Online: Riders of Rohan Expansion Released
Spears shall be shaken, shields shall be splintered, the Riders of Rohan Expansion shall be released today! Do you hear it? The simultaneous thumping of hoofs against the plains, the thundering horns, the cries of players getting ponies to ride. The expansion brings much to Middle Earth with the addition of the sprawling plains of Eastern Rohan, the largest landscape yet.
But thats not why you should be excited about the Riders of Rohan expansion, granted the hundreds of new quests new gear and new experiences certainly sweeten the deal but that isn't the ultimate prize. That prize comes in the form of riding your very own loyal War-steed as you defend the people of Rohan from the forces of Isengard and Mordor. War-steeds are faster, stronger, more dashing, and more trained for battle than normal mounts. With your very own War-steed you can advance its skills over time and customize it with your own unique flairs. No doubt many a War-steed will be decorated and named after Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and perhaps Rainbow Dash.
The Lord of The Rings Online expansions unfortunately must be bought. The site lists three packages that cost between $39.99 and $69.99. Each tier offers an increasing amount of cash-shop currency, some cosmetic armour, a special steed, and more. Forty dollars for a F2P expansion is a bit pricey, but the expansion does seem to be chock full of new things to do. Will you be Riding into the Rohan expansion? Let us know!
