Lord of the Rings Online Elf Avatar Update

The update 42 expansion drop is just around the corner for Lord of the Rings Online, and with it will come lots of new content followed shortly by a new raid. One thing that won't quite be ready in time, however, is the kinship revamp. While that is still being worked on, there are still changes to be made and features to be implemented that have delayed its release until sometime after U42.

This and more was posted on the official forums by Lead Designer Orion, in which he shared as much as he could about upcoming features and improvements.

4K resolution is still on the whiteboard and something they'd like to do for Lord of the Rings Online, but it's a matter of time and resources to get it done. The same goes for the new launcher that has been talked about, as well as transfers from Legacy servers.

A Quality of Life patch coming to the MMORPG in early 2025 is set to include missing Mariner and Brawler weapons, with other improvements to be included in the QoL patch that will be hammered out as 2024 continues.

For all you Lord of the Rings Online Elf players out there, the Elf revamp is still forthcoming, it's just taking longer than expected. But fear not, your shiny new Elf is still on the horizon.

While some things might not be happening as fast as LOTRO players would like, it sounds like work is constantly in progress to provide new content and update older content and systems. It's a lot more than some other MMOs out there can say.

Speaking of stuff coming to Lord of the Rings Online, you can also check out the latest Casual Stroll video for a tour of the Khûd Zagin zone from the upcoming Legacy of Morgoth expansion.
