Logistics Players In WW2 MMO Foxhole Go On Strike
Outlines 10 pain points in the game, including too much snow.
Foxhole isn't your typical World War II PvP game. Set in a persistent living world, it's a true massively multiplayer game where players of all disciplines need to work together to carry out their battle plans and drive the enemy out of their fortified positions or defend their own strongholds.
As any general would tell you, maintaining proper supply lines is crucial to winning a war. In a real army, those tasked with keeping frontline soldiers supplied have to do their jobs to the best of their ability, lest they risk a court-martial for dereliction of duty. In a video game, however, they have another recourse: They can go on strike.
That's just what's happening in Foxhole, as NME is reporting that a coalition of players, branding themselves Logistics Organisation for General Improvement, or LOGI, is refusing to fulfill its duty until Foxhole developer Siege Camp fixes several perceived issues with the game's logistics system.
LOGI claims to represent around 1,800 players and outlined 10 issues it felt were "detrimental" to the experience of being a logistics player in an open letter on its website. These include "Hold time for factory orders is too short" and "Lack of midline logistics facilities." Also: "Snowstorms should not happen on the first day of a war," which is something I'm sure Napeoleon would agree with.
Despite the issues, Foxhole still has an 83% positive rating on Steam (81% recent). Siege Camp has yet to respond to the points brought up by LOGI.
