League Of Legends Season 2 Brings Back Spirit Blossom Beyond
The season introduces a new Brawl game mode and makes quite a few changes to the game.
Today, Riot kicked off the second season of the year in League of Legends, bringing Spirit Blossom Beyond back to the F2P MOBA. The new season takes players to Ionia with a thematic experience that introduces a new champion, modes, and more. The whole thing starts with the release of a new cinematic and song featuring work from singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta and composer Kevin Penkin. Some of you might know the latter from his work on Made in Abyss and Tower of God, although I know him from the Eden anime and Star Wars: Visions.
Not surprisingly, a new season will introduce a new champion. This one, named Yunara, can be seen in the video above. Unfortunately, we still don’t know a lot about her, other than that the leaks say she’ll be a support character.
Also introduced this season is the new Brawl game mode, which is set in the new Bandle City map. This is a 5v5 mode with a focus on combat. Players need to push their minions into the enemy base to win.

Apparently the team is pretty happy with the current meta.

I've been covering this stuff for 15 years now and I still think about each of these from time to time.

In the era of multiple monetization methods, I just wonder how much a "season pass" does for most games.

Players can begin reserving their names now.
