Leaderboards Are On Their Way To New World And Players Can Check Them Out On The PTR Today
Help test the new system out before it hits the live servers.
It’s time for another round of testing on the New World PTR. This time, the devs are looking for help testing out the new leaderboard system before it’s added to the live game. Once implemented, the leaderboards will track players, companies, and factions. It will follow mutated expeditions, faction war, vs. environment, vs. players, and trade skills.
Before all that happens, though, the devs want the players’ help testing everything out and making sure it’s ready to go. That means looking for bugs, crashes, missing text, and anything else that might go wrong. To aid in this, players will be able to make new PTR characters that are instantly leveled to specific level ranges and will be given the appropriate gear to go with them.
To access the PTR, players must download a stand-alone Steam app titled “New World Public Test Realm”. This should appear in players’ Steam library if they own the main game, so it’s just a matter of installing it on their system. To help players out, Amazon has provided a PTR FAQ on the New World site.
