In a not so clear news release today, Snail Games announced the beta and official launch date for their upcoming MMORPG Age of Wushu.

The upcoming martial art inspired MMORPG will have two beta events this year with the first one set to begin in November. You can sign up for the beta right now on the official Age of Wushu site however players can now also purchase an elite pre-sale package for $9.99 which grants them guaranteed access to the initial beta. The first beta is set to end on November 25th at which point other players will again have an opportunity to purchase a pre-sale gift set which includes access to the second beta which starts on December 20th.

The actual release date for Age of Wushu has been set to May 3rd, 2013 but those who purchase a gift set will receive a "Exclusive Access Period" code which grants them access to the game on February 1st, a full 90 days before the official launch.

If you haven't already done so you can signup for Age of Wushu here. The MMO has already received top praise in China where it boasts over 10 million registered players, making it the number one game in China. What interest you most about Age of Wushu?

Making a purchase of the game and after it is F2P is just a market survey to see how many people are "big fans" of this game. These people are most likely to buy other things in the future. Also, this will show the company the popularity of their game. As we all know by now, 99% (if not all) of Chinese MMOs are a grind fest that requires a lot of money on mandatory items: potions, mounts, teleporter scrolls.
I'd like to give this game a try because I still have free HDD space, but I am sure I will not pass the 20-30 level bar where the actual free part ends. I know the game has no level, but you understand what I mean.

obviously they saw the success of gw2 so they want to make this game a hidden b2p which later becomes retardedly p2w

The release date is February 1st 2013. Not May 3rd.

First beta is in November.
Second beta starts December 20th.

The fact that you can pay for all these different beta accesses (and have to in many cases), along with the fact that paying people get 90 days to play before everyone else, this game is going to be super pay to win.

How can anyone compete with players that have already been playing for 3 months. These guys are retarded if they think their methods will work. Holy CRAP HOLE.

By the time this has released, raiders will probably release a second expansion, i get that this game has a few special features and i am confident that it will be a top game in SEA, but i don't see any need to purchase into their beta because there are other games to kill the time while waiting.

I will definitely give it a try, but i have serious doubts about how f2p this game is gonna be.
3 sentences 2 about paying extra kinda proves my point.

p.s: f2p cast last episode was... anyone remembers?
